Man hospitalized after Quincy shooting, investigation underway

QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) - Police are investigating after a 23-year-old man was shot in Quincy.

The Quincy Police Department says that they were called to the 500 block of Camilla Avenue on Saturday, around 5:13 p.m. 

When they arrived, they found a 23-year-old Quincy man suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso area. The victim was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where he is being treated for his injury.

WTXL is choosing not to identify the victim due to the nature of the investigation.

Witnesses told police that shortly before the victim ran to their home, they heard what they thought were firecrackers.

No arrests have been made and information is very limited at this time.

Police say some witnesses advised that a red Dodge Charger may have been involved in this incident.
