TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The man charged with attempted murder after a shooting at a large party in Tallahassee has been found guilty. 

After the conclusion of a three day trial, De'Orrick Knots, 20, was found guilty of 2 counts of attempted second degree murder.

Knots was previously arrested and charged with 2 counts of attempted first degree murder stemming from an incident in July 2017.

Authorities say two victims, 22-year-old Dominique Dawkins and 20-year-old Cardaz Ward, were shot after an argument during a large party being thrown at Unique Wonders, an ice cream shop on Lake Bradford Road.

Both victims were later treated and released from the hospital.

Sentencing has been set for January 25, 2018 pending a pre-sentence investigation.  


UPDATE: Tallahassee Police have arrested De’Orrick D. Knots and charged him with attempted first degree murder and attempted second degree murder in a Saturday morning shooting.  

Police say the two victims, 22-year-old Dominique Dawkins and 20-year-old Cardaz Ward, were shot after an argument during a large party being thrown at Unique Wonders, an ice cream shop on Lake Bradford Road.

Police say the business owner called police to report the shooting, advising that a man who may have been the shooter was leaving the scene. Police say, upon arriving, "approximately two hundred people" were attempting to leave the scene.

Both victims were later treated and released from the hospital.


TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Two people are hospitalized after a shooting in the Capital City Saturday.

Tallahassee Police say the incident happened around 1 a.m. on Lake Bradford Road near Crate Street. Two people were found with gunshot wounds and taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No word yet on if a suspect has been named.
