TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The man who was found dead inside a car in Tallahassee has been identified.

Just before 10 a.m. on Sunday, police were called to check on a car that crashed with a person inside it near Raymond Diehl and Little Deal Roads.

The Tallahassee Police Department says that the driver, 58-year-old Richard Whitecotton, suffered a medical episode while driving his gray Dodge pickup truck, leading to the crash.

The driver, the only occupant of the car, continued driving forward until the vehicle came to rest in the 2200 block of Raymond Diehl Road.

They say a medical examiner determined that Whitecotton passed away from natural causes while he was driving his car.
