JACKSON COUNTY , Fla. (WTXL) – A man is facing charges after he attempted to flee from officers and subsequently caused a car crash that sent both himself and other driver to the hospital.
According to a press release, the crash occurred on State Road 77 at Tri County Road at 1:20 p.m.
Troopers say a man driving a Chevy Silverado was attempting to flee from Chipley police officer lost control of his car and crashed into a Nissan Murano.
The Chevy then overturned and the Nissan spun around, landing on the side of the road.
Documents say both drivers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Chevy, 38-year-old Joseph Weeks, was charged with reckless driving with personal injury, property damage and fleeing attempt to elude LEO.
