FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - Police say a gunman fatally shot a man who was looking at a house near Fort Lauderdale with his wife and real estate agent.
The shooting happened Thursday, just two days after the newly renovated home had been put on the market.
Broward Sheriff's officials say they believe robbery was the motive. They're still searching for the gunman.
Real estate agent Thomas Dwyer told the South Florida Sun Sentinel the man "just came into the house and started firing."
Neighbors tried to help the injured man and a deputy who was patrolling in the neighborhood was flagged down. Rescue crews took the man to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies haven't released the victim's name.
Security footage from nearby homes show a man running from the scene. An investigation continues.
