Man faces domestic battery charges after grabbing ex-wife against her will

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - An Alabama man was arrested in Jackson County after going into his ex-wife's home and grabbing her against her will. 

Nicholas Banks, 37, of Enterprise, Ala. was arrested by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office on Thursday. 

On Thursday, deputies responded to the report of a physical disturbance in Sneads, Fla. 

During the investigation, deputies learned that Banks went to his ex-wife's home.  

According to JCSO, while inside the house, Banks grabbed her against her will. 

JCSO states Banks was able to leave before law enforcement arrived.  

After the initial incident, JCSO received another call saying Banks was now following the victim's boyfriend on Highway 90 through Sneads.  

JCSO says a deputy was able to cut off Banks' car and made contact with him. 

During the encounter, deputies made a probable cause arrest from the incident earlier that evening.  

Banks was taken to Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance. 

He is being charged with domestic battery.
