HAMILTON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A 27-year-old Jacksonville man died in a two-vehicle accident in Hamilton County.
Gabriel Corbett died from his injuries sustained in the accident.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place at about 8:10 a.m. Thursday on I-75.
FHP stated Corbett, who was driving a flatbed truck carrying pallets, and a tractor-trailer were traveling northbound on I-75.
FHP said the front of Corbett's truck hit the tractor-trailer.
Corbett's truck came to a final stop in the right lane, while the tractor-trailer came to a final stop in the right paved northbound emergency lane, while the trailer stopped partially in the right northbound paved emergency lane and the northbound outside lane of I-75.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured in the accident.
FHP states it is unknown if Corbett was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
At this time, FHP states results are pending to see if alcohol played a factor.
According to FHP, the crash dynamics are still under investigation.
