JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A man is dead after his body was found trapped underneath a tractor Friday afternoon.
Around 1:20 p.m. Friday, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to a tractor accident on Henry Way in Greenwood, Fla.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered the body of 32-year-old Ricardo Tavares, trapped underneath a tractor.
Deputies say that Tavares had been operating the tractor on a steep incline and the tractor overturned, trapping Tavares underneath the tractor.
Deputies state the tractor was not equipped with a roll over protection structure.
