BROOKSVILLE, FL. (AP) - Authorities say a Tampa Bay area man is dead after crashing into a stopped school bus.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a school bus was stopped at a railroad crossing near Brooksville Wednesday evening when 57-year-old Wade Allen Varney failed to stop his car and rear-ended the bus.
Varney died at the scene. The bus driver was not injured, and there were no children on board.
