VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - An early morning house fire in Valdosta left one man dead and a woman injured.

According to Valdosta Police, around 1am Tuesday, 54-year-old Debra Price went to a neighbor's house seeking help after her home caught on fire. Police say that by the time responders arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.

Officers say they found Price with burns all over her body and found another resident, 72-year-old James Brown dead inside the home.

Valdosta Police and the Valdosta Fire Department are investigating the fire. However, they say that it appears to have not been intentionally set.

According to police, Price was airlifted to Shands Hospital for her lift-threatening burns, and medical examiners are working to determine Brown's cause of death.
