Man critically injured after fiery crash on I-10

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol says a man is in critical condition after a fiery crash on I-10 Monday afternoon.

FHP reports the crash happened around 12 p.m. Monday, just one mile away from the Monroe Street exit on I-10 eastbound. 

They say the a 2006 Ford F-150 truck was traveling east on I-10 at mile marker 198.

Witnesses told troopers that they saw the driver of the truck lose control and travel across all the lanes before crashing into a large traffic sign pole.

After the crash, the truck came to a final rest on the south shoulder of I-10 at mile-marker 198.

The driver has been transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in critical condition. 

Troopers initially reported the crash as a "possible fatality."
