TAYLOR Co., FL (WTXL) - Troopers say one person is dead after a crashing his vehicle, climbing out, and getting hit by a passing truck on Thursday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol is saying Tony Alton Southerland, 57, was killed near State Road 20 and Luther Wilson Road. Southerland is said to have struck a concrete culvert where his truck flipped into a water filled ditch.
Authorities say Southerland climbed out of the Dodge Ram 1500, which was lying on its roof, when he was hit and killed by a second vehicle driven by Jim Otis Vann.
Southerland's next of kin has been notified, according to troopers. They also say they are investigating this incident as a possible traffic homicide.
