GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Police say they have captured a north Florida man who kidnapped his ex-girlfriend's 4-year-old son.

The Gainesville Sun reports that Donald Roy Long Jr. was arrested early Thursday in Georgia. The boy was unharmed.

The Alachua County Sheriff's Office reports that Long had recently broken up with the boy's mother and took him without the mother's permission on a Greyhound bus destined for Pennsylvania.

The bus company used GPS to track the vehicle after police contacted them. The Georgia State Patrol was alerted, and officers found and stopped the bus near Cordele, Georgia.

Authorities say the boy was hiding under a seat when officers got on the bus.

Long faces suspicion of kidnapping and other charges. He is being held on $120,000 bail
