ATLANTA (AP) — Police say a man has been charged in connection with a road rage shooting last week.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://on-ajc.com/1XkyvOt ) that DeKalb County police announced Wednesday that Jose Dionicio Ovalles has been charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
Multiple shots were fired at 44-year-old Angelina Christiano in the Oct. 12 shooting incident.
Police say Christiano was shot in the upper back. She was taken to the hospital, but expected to survive.
Reports say Christiano was driving with her 25-year-old son when a Ford Mustang pulled up close behind them in the center lane. Christiano motioned for the Mustang to go around, but the suspect fired multiple shots and drove off.
DeKalb police Capt. F.P. Braun says Ovailies was already in jail on unrelated charges.
