TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man is behind bars after police discovered a homicide scene Saturday night.
The Tallahassee Police Department was called to a home near Putnam Drive and Brighton Road around 11:15pm Saturday to check on the welfare of resident who they could not contact.
Officers went inside and found the resident deceased, determining it was the result of a homicide. A family member, who police say was in the home when the officers arrived, barricaded himself in another room and refused to come out. Officers were eventually able to take the man into custody. Police believe he played a role in the homicide.
The victim's name is not yet being released. Investigators say they're currently interviewing witnesses and processing evidence.
