MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol says a traffic stop on a tractor trailer lead them to discover 239 pounds of marijuana.
Troopers say that they stopped 28-year-old Hector Hernandez of Miami Gardens on I-10 eastbound near mile marker 258 (Madison County) Sunday evening for a busted taillight.
They note that the semi also had no tag light and didn't have locking seals on it.
Once they completed the stop, troopers asked to search the trailer and Hernandez gave consent.
During the search, they found multiple vacuum bags of what appeared to be marijuana. In total, troopers found six large boxed and five large garabage bags filled with drugs weighing 239 pounds.
They also found 16 loadable debit cards in the driver's bag. Hernandez was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana.
