TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Deputies have arrested a man who is accused of kidnapping and beating a woman.
The victim told deputies that 26-year-old Califf King forced her into her own car and bound her arms and legs after she broke up with him. King is accused of kidnapping the woman and hitting her with a handgun while he drove around with her tied up in the car for nine hours.
King drove to two different homes with the victim tied up. Police say that someone at a home on Whippoorwill Road was able to help the woman and call 911.
Deputies responded to a home early Saturday morning. The victim told deputies that she ended the relationship with King and he came to get his stuff back when he kidnapped her and threatened to kill her.
Deputies spotted King driving the victim's car and tried to pull it over. However, King abandoned the car and ran into the Apalachicola National Forest, said deputies.
King was found and arrested by U.S Marshal's Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force Monday and booked into the Leon County Jail.
