FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Franklin County deputies said that they have arrested a man for grand theft after witnesses said that he was hiding inside their boat.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said that on Sunday around noon they arrested Bobby Hill Jr. after they were searching for him for 3 or 4 days.
They said that on Sunday, a deputy doing patrols spotted him. When Hill realized that he was seen, he ran into the woods, dropping a backpack with meth residue in it.
That same day, deputies said that a homeowner called them saying that they had seen Hill behind their home and inside their boat.
Deputies came out to the area, joined by other law enforcement agencies and K-9 dogs, and found Hill hiding in a mobile on Bay View Drive, just a little ways from the boat where he was seen.
Hill was charged with grand theft, grand theft auto, burglary of a dwelling and petit theft. Deputies said that other charges are likely to be added.
