PERRY, Fla. (WTXL) - A man has been arrested, accused of burglarizing a Perry car wash multiple times.

The Perry Police Department says that Perry Supershine has been burglarized 6-8 times since January. It's located on Hampton Springs Road.

The last burglary occurred on August 1.

During this burglary, surveillance footage was able to capture a licence plate from a car leaving the scene. This eventually led to the arrest of Christopher Pitts.

Police say he vandalized and stole from coin operated machines that were present at the car wash, including the vacuum cleaning machines and others.

In the incident on Tuesday, the owner claims that the suspect destroyed all these machines, causing $25,000 in damages.

Perry PD believe this Pitts is responsible for all the burglaries at the car wash.

He is currently being charged with 2 counts of burglary, 2 counts of grand theft and 2 counts of criminal mischief. Perry PD is expecting more charges.

Police believe he was working with one other accomplice. They also believe he may be a connected to at least 4 other burglaries in the area.
