PERRY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Perry man is behind bars after he attempted to purchase syringes from a CVS Pharmacy while impersonating as a Taylor County Sheriff's Office employee.
The Taylor County Sheriff's Office said that a man went into to a Perry CVS Pharmacy on Thursday and tried to purchase the syringes, claiming that he was employed by the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said that they were able to get surveillance photos of the unidentified person and his car.
They said that neither the person nor his car was associated with the Sheriff's Office in any way.
Later, a deputy stopped a car that matched the surveillance photos.
They said that the car was being driven by Daniel Nix, who was wanted for violation of probation.
Nix was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of less than 20 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
