LOWNDES Co., GA (WTXL) - An arrest was made by the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office in a human trafficking case.
Omar Stoute was arrested Monday for his part in trafficking after investigators discovered multiple female prostitutes.
Deputies say Stoute was transporting two females to Lowndes County for "the purpose of conducting prostitution".
Stoute would set up encounters between the women and "the Johns" according to investigators; he would then take the money from the women.
Stoute was arrested and the Sheriff's Office says both females were reunited with their families. No bond has been set for Stoute.
Sheriff Prine says that investigation is ongoing as authorities are working to find other women who may have been exploited by Stoute.
