JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a 2012 killing where the victim was shot after a fistfight over $5.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office reports that 29-year-old James Hiawatha Russell has been arrested for the slaying of 39-year-old Philippe Foster on Nov. 14, 2012.

Police say Foster was fatally shot after he won a fistfight over the money against Russell.

The Florida Times-Union (http://bit.ly/17OMyqe ) reports that witnesses told police that Foster had his hands raised when Russell shot him.

Russell was arrested in June 2013 in Georgia on an unrelated charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm and was returned to Jacksonville.

He is being held in Duval County jail without bond.
