TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Deputies have arrested a man on drug and weapons charges after they said the received numerous Crime Stoppers Tips.

Details from the Leon County Sheriff's Office

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office VICE Narcotics Unit arrested 29-year-old Ahundraye Bennerson on numerous charges related to narcotics, firearms and stolen property.

"The good thing is that we were able to get these firearms off the streets from a drug dealer," said Lieutenant Grady Jordan.

Crime Stoppers received numerous tips about illegal activity at 517 Yeager Street. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office VICE Narcotics Unit init iated an investigation into the suspected illegal activity. In January, detectives were able to purchase marijuana and A-PVP also known as “Molly” from Bennerson.

Based on the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for 517 Yeager Street.

Yesterday, detectives from the VICE Narcotics Unit executed the search warrant and located Bennerson at the residence.

During the search of the apartment, detectives located five guns (one stolen) and approximately twenty electronic devices (tablets, phones and laptops) all believed to be stolen.

"It's typical for people to steal certain items and trade it for narcotics, so that's one theory," Jordan said. "But to determine exactly why he had these particular items, we don't know yet."

Bennerson was transported to the Leon County Jail without incident. The investigation is continuing.

The Sheriff's Office says it will take time to sort through the stolen items and will try, if possible, to return them to their owners.
