Man Arrested for Cocaine Outside Bainbridge Housing Complex

BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL)--Bainbridge Public Safety investigators arrest a man for cocaine over the weekend. 

They say Saturday night, Officers Chris Avery and Chip Nix were called to the Rivers Apartments on Lake Drive about loud music coming from a car. When they got there, two men were standing there.

When Markeith Chrispen saw Nix, he ducked down and then took off running. Investigators say he threw a bag into the bushes. Nix chased Chrispen and recovered the plastic bag with 12 smaller bags of cocaine inside. 

Chrispen is charged with possession of a controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a park or housing project, and obstructing or hindering officers.
