TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man has been arrested, accused of beating and robbing a victim in the FSU tunnel on Pensacola Street.

According to an arrest document, officers were called to the tunnel at Stadium Drive and Pensacola Street. The victim told them that he had just been robbed and beaten by two men. He told officers that the men took his passport and $3 or $4 from him.

When FSU Police reviewed surveillance footage, they saw two men with masks or scarfs over their faces running away from the Pensacola Street tunnel. The video also showed a white male suspect walking behind the victim and pulling a gun.

Eventually, an officer spotted one of the men matching the victim's description walking from the tunnel. The man, according to the report, seemed to be extremely nervous and began picking up the pace to try to get away from the officer.

Officers say that several times while trying to detain the man, who was later identified as Reshadd Blackmon, he kept pulling away and rolling over in an attempt to get away.

Once he was in custody, they searched Blackmon and found the victim's passport and $4 in his pocket.

The arrest document says video surveillance of the robbery showed Blackmon tackling the victim to the ground as the primary aggressor.

As a result of the investigation, Blackmon was arrested and charged with robbery by sudden snatching with firearm or weapon, aggravated battery, and resisting arrest without violence.

The second suspect, described as a white male wearing a white tee shirt and blue jeans, was not found.
