TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man is behind bars after police say he intentionally rammed his car into his ex-girlfriend's car multiple times, while in the parking lot of a Wendy's on W. Pensacola Street.
According to a probable cause document, Jeremy Brown was arrested on Monday.
The document said that back on February 21, police were called to a hit and run at a Wendy's on 3030 W. Pensacola Street. When they arrived, the victim, his ex-girlfriend, told them that she was driving west down Pensacola Street when she saw him in his truck.
She told them that Brown was behind her in traffic but rapidly approaching her car, which was making her nervous. She said that she had an active injunction against him and was afraid of what he might do if he caught up to her.
At some point, the victim allowed Brown to pass her in traffic as they came up to a red light on Appleyard Drive.
While stopped, the victim took a picture of Brown's truck with her cellphone. The victim told police that Brown then started to reverse his truck and backed into the front bumper of her car, cracking the grill.
Fearing for her safety, the victim said that she pulled in to the Wendy's parking lot, and parked her car on the east side of the building. Eventually she saw Brown enter the parking lot.
The document says that the victim locked her doors and stayed in the car as Brown drove up behind her car and smashed it into the back of hers.
He then reversed and came around from the west side to smash into her car again, pushing her car toward another parked car. After, Brown got out the truck and pulled on the driver side door handle, breaking it and throwing it to the ground.
He then got in his truck and drove off.
After an investigation, police were able to arrest Brown for aggravated assault with intent to kill, attempted burglary, violation of injunction against domestic violence, and criminal mischief.
Bond for Brown has been set at $20,000.
