LITHIA SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) — A man has been arrested after authorities say he fatally shot another man at a Lithia Springs home.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://on-ajc.com/1WVccC4) 29-year-old Shawn Anthony Clark is charged with murder in the death of 27-year-old Antonio Ellison on Saturday.
Douglas County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Glenn Daniel says Clark brought an unidentified woman to a home around 2:20 p.m. to retrieve her belongings and her children. Daniel says while Clark was still in the car, he exchanged words with Ellison.
Witnesses told investigators the verbal altercation between the two men turned physical. Daniel says that's when Clark produced a handgun, shot Ellison and left the scene.
Clark was later arrested in Union City. He was booked into the Douglas County jail. It isn't clear if he has an attorney.
