Man Arrested after Traffic Stop for Multiple Drug Charges

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta Police say a man has been arrested after they searched his car and found large amounts of drugs packaged for sale to include LSD, meth, and other prescription drugs.

The Valdosta Police Department said that Daniel Demore, 42, was arrested after he was pulled over for a traffic stop near the 800 block of South St. Augustine Road. 

When police talked to him, Demore told them that his name was "John". They later found out that he was lying about his identity.

Police then searched his car and found a large amount of drugs to include: 10 “hits” of LSD impregnated paper, 18.2 grams of butanediol, 113 Alprazolam pills, 26 Oxycodone pills, 15 grams of Dronabinol, 4 grams of meth, various prescription drugs classified as “dangerous”, multiple tools indicative of narcotics sales and distribution, a quantity of marijuana, and 1600 dollars in US currency.

Demore was arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail where he now faces charges of:

* Possession of LSD with the Intent to Distribute (FELONY)

* Possession of Butanediol with the Intent to Distribute (FELONY)

* Possession of Dronabinol with the Intent to Distribute (FELONY)

* Possession of Oxycodone with the Intent to Distribute (FELONY)

* Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute (FELONY)

* Possession of Dangerous Drugs (x’2) (FELONY)

* Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime (FELONY)

* Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor)

* Failure to Maintain Lane (Misdemeanor)

* Distracted Driving (Misdemeanor)

* Providing False Information to a Law Enforcement Officer (Misdemeanor)
