VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--Shots are fired during a domestic dispute followed by a standoff.
It all happened on Amy Circle around 6:00 Thursday night.
Police say Cory Spikes and his girlfriend got into an argument at his home.
Spikes then grabbed a rifle, pointed it at her, and then fire several shots. Police say she wasn't hurt and, got out of the home.
When police got there Spikes was seen running back into the home, and then he wouldn't come out.
Police evacuated surrounding homes. Negotiators talked spikes out of the home.
Two rifles were recovered, and no one was injured.
Spikes is in the Lowndes County Jail on aggravated assault among other charges
