TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man is behind bars after police say he sexually assaulted a woman at a local hotel.
Court documents say that on Dec. 14, Tallahassee Police officers responded to WoodSpring Suites after receiving a call from a girl claiming she was "raped by two [men.]"
When police arrived on the scene, they began speaking to the victim about what happened.
The victim said she was at the hotel because her boss was supposed to pay for her room but never showed up. While she was waiting at the hotel, two men approached her and said she could stay in their room.
The victim said she ended up rooming with the men and identified one of the men as 42-year-old Rodolof Sanchez. She went on to tell police that both men forced her to drink alcohol while they were in the room.
But while drinking, the victim said Sanchez suddenly "snapped."
Documents say Sanchez forced himself on the victim and sexually assaulted her. The victim stated he told her "because he helped her she should have complied."
According to investigators, witnesses who were in the room next to them said they heard loud fighting noises and it sounded like someone was getting choked.
Police then spoke with an eyewitness who told police that Sanchez was very drunk during the incident and seemed to be forcing himself onto the victim. The witness also heard the victim yell and scream for Sanchez to stop multiple times.
But, according to the witness, Sanchez didn't stop and kept going for approximately an hour. The witness said the sounds woke him out of his sleep and he claimed he told Sanchez to stop before falling back asleep.
Documents say there was a blood stains on the pillow and wet spots on the the sheets where the victim had been laying.
Police then spoke with Sanchez who said he had consensual oral sex with the victim, but his clothes never came off. Eventually, Sanchez he admitted that he had removed all his clothing except for his underwear, before going over to the victim's bed. He also stated "he kept going when she said no because he had consumed 24 beers and wanted to have sex."
Police say Sanchez told them that he forgets things when he is drinking, however he somehow knew he didn't have intercourse with the victim.
Based on the evidence, Sanchez was arrested and transported to the Leon County Jail. He is being charged with sexual assault.
