TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Monticello man has been arrested, accused of pointing an airsoft gun at a driver in an apparent road rage incident.

Douglas Gulledge, 20, was arrested on Tuesday.

According to the arrest report, the victim said that incident began on I-10 between mile marker 213 and 216 after Gulledge cut the victim off. The victim says then gave Gulledge the middle finger, sparking the road rage incident.

The report says Gulledge pulled up the victim's car and pulled out a tan pistol wrapped in a white cloth. The victim says Gulledge pulled back the slide on the pistol as if he was loading a bullet in the chamber. That's when Gulledge began waving the pistol at the victim.

Afraid for his life, the victim sped away from Gulledge and called 911.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office was later able to find and arrest Gulledge. When they searched his car, they found the gun, noting that it was a very realistic looking airsoft pistol. They said the gun had no orange safety tip or anything to identify it as an airsoft pistol.

Gulledge was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of improper exhibition of a firearm. He was taken to the Leon County Jail where he remains.
