TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man was arrested after he left the scene of a crash at Aqua Palms Apartments.

Tico Watson, 19, was arrested by the Tallahassee Police Department on Wednesday.

On April 2, dispatchers received a call of a traffic crash at the Aqua Palms Apartments on Old Bainbridge Road.

When officers arrived on scene, they spoke with the victim. While talking with officers, she stated she was waiting for her turn to enter the apartment complex at the only entrance gate it has.

The gated entrance only allows one vehicle to enter at a time.

According to the police report, as the victim was trying to enter the apartment complex, Watson's car hit her car.

The victim got out of her car to assess the damage, when Watson yelled, "that's what you get, God don't like ugly."

She said Watson continued driving into the apartment complex and never made an attempt to speak with her.

On April 18, officers made contact with the leasing office of Aqua Palms Apartments and were able to watch the incident from the apartment's recorded surveillance system.

Officers said they clearly saw Watson cut-off the victim, hitting her car, causing the front bumper to come off.

Based on the evidence, Watson is being charged with leaving the scene of a crash with damage to attended vehicle.
