COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A man is behind bars after a high speed chase in Moultrie this week.
Police say speeds reached over one hundred miles per hour.
The chase lasted about 10 minutes before Colquitt County Sergeant Terry Gibson caught the driver, now identified as Salvador Martinez.
Gibson says Martinez was driving a stolen vehicle, which is why he sped off during the attempted routine traffic stop.
Gibson says Martinez is being held without bond on unrelated outstanding warrants.
"He's not able to get out because of the other two warrants," said Gibson. "The probation warrant will keep him here until court time for that."
His arraignment will be in a couple of months.
