LIBERTY COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Liberty County deputies said that a Monticello man is behind bars after he crashed one stolen car and tried to get away in another.
The Florida Highway Patrol said that on Saturday morning, Carlester Fryson was driving in a stolen car, going westbound on State Road 20 when he crashed into the back of another vehicle and drove off.
Troopers said the damage to the car left him unable to drive more than 500 feet from the crash, however Fryson hopped in another car and tried to take off.
He was later stopped and caught in Calhoun County and taken to the county jail.
Fryson is being charged with leaving the scene of a crash with injury, operating a car with a suspended license, and careless driving.
