BARTOW, Fla. (AP) — A north Florida man already serving a life sentence has received an extra 10 years for a fatal robbery in a convenience store parking lot.

The Lakeland Ledger (http://bit.ly/1nP6O2Y) reports that a judge sentenced 24-year-old Theodore Williams on Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Roberto Mayorga in November 2007.

The 10-year sentence runs concurrently with a life sentence Williams had already been given in the case.

Williams was convicted in January of witness tampering after a jury decided he'd tried to persuade an inmate to pin Mayorga's murder on someone else.

Police say both Mayorga and his brother were shot in a convenience store parking lot after Williams approached them and demanded money.
