VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) -- Police have a arrested a 26-year-old man for breaking into the Joyous Praise Church.
Someone called 911 to report a suspicious person inside the church on Fry Street around 2 am Tuesday, said police. When police arrived at the scene, an officer saw a man exiting the church. The man tried to run, but was caught a short time later. Carlos Roberts was arrested and taken to the Lowndes County jail.
Police said that there was evidence of a forced entry into the church and that money was missing. However, officers said that they have not found the missing money.
