TALLAHASSEE, FL. (AP) - A 22-year-old former mental health technician at a Port St. Lucie treatment center is accused of punching a resident in the face.

The fraud control unit of the Florida Attorney General's Office announced Wednesday that Byron Pressley has been arrested. They worked with the Port St. Lucie police to investigate the case.

Authorities say Pressley is charged with one count of abuse of a disabled person, which is a third-degree felony. He faces up to five years in prison.

The incident took place at the Treasure Coast Forensic Treatment Center and was captured on video. The case will be prosecuted by the State Attorney's Office for the 19th Judicial Circuit.

No further details were immediately available. It's not known whether Pressley has hired a lawyer.
