THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL)--A south Georgia man is out of jail on bond after police say he faked his own kidnapping.
Thomasville Police say 43-year old Calvin Lee Lewis called a friend on April 1 and told her he was being held hostage at a hotel in Tallahassee.
He reportedly told her his kidnapper wanted $10,000 and if the kidnapper didn't get the money by a certain time then he would ultimately be killed.
Lewis is charged with making a false report and making false statements.
