COLQUITT COUNTY, GA (WTXL) - Improvements may be on the way for a stretch of Highway in Georgia.
According to WALB, over 100 Colquitt County residents attended a public information open house Monday night on the proposed widening of Highway 133.
Georgia Department of Transportation officials were on hand to answer any questions about the project. The project is expected to 4-lane 32-miles of the highway from Albany to Moultrie.
The projected construction date for this section is 2020 at an estimated cost of $153 million.
Another hearing on the project will be held Wednesday from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. at Okapilco Elementary School in Moultrie.
