TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Three Madison Social bartenders stopped an armed robbery outside the entrance of the bar early Monday morning.

Johnathan Stamm, 20, and another man where sitting outside of the bar talking, early Monday morning following the Super Bowl.

The man said that he knew Stamm through a mutual ex-girlfriend. The man also told investigators that Stamm was very intoxicated. At some point during their conversation, the man said Stamm tried to slip a bag of cocaine in his pockets.

The man said that he did not resist, because he was "scared and intimidated" by Stamm's behavior and size.

After more conversation, the man got up from the table to leave. By time the man had gotten to the front entrance of the restaurant, Stamm came towards him and pulled a knife. The man said he demanded money, allegedly telling him "I will gut you like a pig."

Police say employees of Madison Social were getting ready to close when they saw Stamm holding the victim at knife point.

When an opportunity arose, employees wrestled Stamm to the ground and subdued him until police arrived.
