MADISON COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - Madison County Sheriff's Office said they arrested a man in the middle of an attempted burglary.

Deputies said they were called to a residence on Coleman Street for an attempted robbery on Saturday. When they arrived, they found out that the male suspect, who they later identified as Vincent Sanders, had kicked in the home's front door and was still inside.

Deputies said they could hear yelling as they approached the door. When they entered, they found Sanders holding a female by her neck and arm in the hallway.

They said they told him to let go but once he did, police said Sanders began aggressively approaching them. Deputies tased Sanders twice before they were able to handcuff him and take him into custody.

Deputies said it's unclear why Sanders broke in, but he was transported to the Madison County Jail and charged with burglary, battery, and other charges related to the incident.
