MADISON CO., Fla. (WTXL) - A South Florida man suspected of trafficking drugs is arrested in North Florida.
It happened at about 3:12 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
According to Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart, a deputy pulled a vehicle over after clocking it going 91 mph on I-10. He says as the deputy approached the vehicle, he smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from it.
Sheriff Stewart says a search of vehicle discovered felony amounts of marijuana and marijuana oil, cocaine, packaging, scales, various types of unlabeled prescription pills, and drug paraphernalia.
The driver, 23-year old Andrew Vincent Driscoll of Jupiter Florida, was taken into custody and transported to the Madison County Jail. He is charged with one count of trafficking a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (marijuana and cocaine), three counts of possession of controlled substance without prescription (hydrocodone, oxycodone, Xanax) and six counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
