Madison County Sheriff's Office Receives Big Donation

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon County Sheriff's Office makes a big donation to the Madison County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies donated a 1997 F-350 Ford Diesel ambulance, converted to serve as a hostage negotiation and command post unit.

The unit is equipped with a generator, a desk station and refrigerator. It's also fully wired with computers and other technical equipment that will help during negotiations or crisis situations.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office says the new addition will help their officers in the field by providing a controlled environment to carry out their duties should a hostage situation occur.
