MADISON COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - Several fire and rescue departments across Madison County are getting their hands on new technology to help them save lives.
Crews gathered at the North Florida Community College Public Safety Academy Friday night to learn the latest techniques to extract injured people from cars involved in crashes. They got the opportunity to learn how to use battery-powered jaws of life.
The volunteers and first responders took turns using the new equipment. Another training session will be held June 25th at 9am at the same location.
