MADISON, FL (WTXL) -- The Madison County Sheriff's Office is investigating allegations of inappropriate sexual relations between a former Madison County High School employee and students.
The Sheriff's Office were notified of the allegations on May 5. Investigators said the employee doesn't work for the district anymore, but the alleged incidents happened while he or she was still employed.
The employee has not been identified, and no other information is available at the time.
The Sheriff's Office is working with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to look into the allegations.
The Madison County School District has issued the following statement: "The Madison County School District is committed to the safety and security of all students. The individual being investigated by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is no longer an employee of the Madison County School District. The investigation is active and further information will be available pending the case outcome.”
