TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Mothers Against Drunk Driving of Northwest Florida, along with Leon County Sheriff's Office and other local groups joined together to promote safe driving during this holiday season.
A fair was held Friday at the Kia of Tallahassee. Residents stopped by to learn about the dangers of impaired driving.
Organizers say, in 2016, between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve, there were 649 drunk driving fatalities across the country.
The event also included several simulators to help people understand what happens to your body when you drink.
