VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) -- A Lowndes High teacher is accused of having sexual relations with three male students.
Lowndes County deputies say Phoebe Jo Chapman has been charged with three counts of sexual assault.
Deputies say most of the students have graduated, but each of the instances happened while the children were students at the high school.
Chapman surrendered herself to the Lowndes County Jail Tuesday morning. According to deputies, the sheriff's office was made of aware of rumors alleging improper contact between male students and a teacher in March.
Sheriff Chris Prine says the investigation is ongoing. He says they are still conducting interviews, and additional victims could be identified.
