VALDOSTA, GA. (WTXL) - Lowndes High School is making some security changes in preparation of graduation.
The school is bracing for protesters concerning the death of Kendrick Johnson who was the student that died on campus in 2013 and would have graduated this year.
Valdosta Police Department will not cover on campus security but the Lowndes County Sheriffs office will. VPD will be in charge of the outer perimeter, grass areas, and roads. They have a designated grass area for protestors. This will be aloud as long as they are peaceful. They also can not be on sidewalks or on the road.
VPD officers will be placed around the outer perimeter of the campus where the graduation is going to be held.
