LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WTXL) - Lowndes County voters approved two measures during Tuesday's county elections.
They were considering a special purpose education tax in the county. It would dedicate a one percent sales tax towards education, including a new Valdosta High School project.

The education tax passed with 79.4% voting in favor of it, while 20.5% voted against. As for the Lake Park alcohol sales measure, it passed with 60.6% voting in favor of it. All precincts were reporting.
