LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - Lowndes County swore in their new probation officers Wednesday.
This comes less than 24 hours after the Lowndes County commissioners approved the 2018-2019 fiscal budget that funded the new probation department, which costs nearly $800,000.
Judge John Edward says this position is a huge responsibility for all community members in Lowndes county.
